Jump Up is a traditional street party that happens in downtown Christiansted four times per year. From the famed Christiansted Harbor Boardwalk up to Company Street and from Fort Christianvaern to Queen Cross Street, the streets are closed off and lined with sidewalk sales, street vendors, live bands, and throngs of festival goers. You’ll find local shops offering sales and many restaurants coming down to the streets to offer grab-and-go meals. Vendors line the way with traditional West Indian street fare like pates, johnny cakes, and roti, and don’t forget to grab a locally grown coconut freshly picked with a shot of Cruzan Rum! Around 8 pm the famous Moko Jumbie Parade moves throughout the town thrilling kids of all ages. This is a festival you will want to incorporate into your St Croix travel plans!
