Sea Thru Kayaks VI
Explore the natural wonders of Salt River Bay National Historical Park and Ecological Preserve by kayak on a guided or self-guided tour. This incredible area is not only home to one of the Caribbean's few bioluminescent bays, but it is also an important historic area that has been inhabited for thousands of years and was the location of the first skirmish between the Old and New Worlds when Christopher Columbus' expedition landed in 1493.
Climb into a glass bottom kayak and you'll be able to safely explore the bay and mangroves above and below the water. Discover shorebirds in the mangroves along with large green iguanas warming in the sun. You'll see marine life like Cassiopea (upside-down jellyfish), spotted eagle rays, sea turtles, and more.

Virgin Kayak Tours
Founded originally in 1997 by well-loved island residents, Jill & Bryan Updyke, who were dedicated to sharing the ecology and history of St Croix with visitors and residents alike. In 2020 new owners took over the business after Bryan's passing. They continue his legacy and passion for sharing love and knowledge of the ecology of Salt River Bay and the Pre- Columbian art, history, and lifestyles of those who lived before us on the island.
