Quality Grocery & Deli
This little convenience store and deli may not look like much on the outside, but it has the best Cubanos this side of Cuba! Stop in and takeout early for a great hike to the beach. Homemade sub rolls, sandwiches, salads and West Indian pates.
21E Estate La Grande Princesse, Mid Island, St Croix 00820
Turtles Deli
Down the road from the pier in Frederiksted, Turtle’s serves up the biggest sandwiches on St. Croix. Known for homemade breads and large portions, Turtle’s is a local favorite. Dine in on the covered patio or order to go for a picnic on the beach. I always opt for the salad/sandwich combo. The portions are large enough to be shared. Grab a bag of chips and a cold drink and you’ve got lunch.
