Getting Around

There is so much to do, see and explore on St Croix! If you like to travel at your own pace, then we always recommend travelers consider renting a vehicle! A few things to remember:

  • We drive on the left! This isn’t as difficult as you may think. Just be sure to have a good co-pilot who reminds you to “stay left”, especially when making a right hand turn.
  • Many car rental companies will not rent to customers younger than 25.
  • Book in advance, especially during busier times on the island like Christmas, the first week in May (Triathlon) and during high season January – April.

Car Rental pickups are available at the airport (STX). You’ll see the windows as you deplane and head towards the baggage claim. We recommend stopping at the car rental windows first as it can take a bit of time for baggage to be offloaded.
