Cane Bay Beach
0.0

Cane Bay Beach is a favorite of St Croix residents and scuba divers! Here you'll find gorgeous North Shore views of the green mountains to the West and a casual, laidback. boho vibe. There are beach bars with walk-up service. I love the beachfront stairs to the bar right across the street at The Landing and the food is great too! Cane Bay also offers incredible shore diving at the world-famous Cane Bay Wall. Scuba divers have just a short 300-yard kick out from shore to the buoy that marks the drop spot. From here it's just a short swim [...]

Chenay Bay Beach
3.0

A popular spot for locals, families, and tourists Chenay Bay Beach is a lovely spot to spend the afternoon. The main part of the beach runs in front of the resort Bungalows on the Bay (and Beach Bar!). If you want a little more privacy, walk down to the Eastern end. The cove is nice and shallow for kids to play. There are sandy bottom areas easily visible though much of the water is lined with seagrass. This is actually a plus as it means there is great snorkeling where you’ll see some of the largest starfish on the [...]

Dorsch Beach
5.0

Dorsch Beach is one of the most popular St Croix beaches on the West End of the Island. You'll find excellent swimming, snorkeling, and several beach bars at popular beachfront hotels. The white sandy beach spans south of the Frederiksted Pier along the waterfront to Sandy Point. There are several pull-offs where you can park and walk right onto the beach with your beach chairs and cooler. Or opt to enjoy the day "resort-style" and grab a day pass from Sand Castles on the Beach or The Fred to use their chairs and amenities. Spend the day because Dorsch Beach [...]

Frederiksted Beach
0.0

Frederiksted Beach aka Fort Frederik Beach is located just North of the Frederiksted Pier in walking distance, Frederiksted Beach is popular on cruise ship days. This is a great spot for swimming and snorkeling - if you're lucky you may even spy seahorses hanging out. Didn't bring your snorkeling gear? No problem! Walk over to our friends at Cane Bay Dive Shop across from the pier and grab some rental gear, sunscreen, sunshirts, hats, and more. There is parking and public restrooms onsite. More parking can be found in the lot just across from Fort Frederik. Return to St Croix Beach [...]

La Grange Beach
0.0

A little further up from Frederiksted Beach and before Rainbow Beach you'll find la Grange Beach still in viewing distance of the Frederiksted Pier. You'll see a little pull-off for a few cars on the beachside. There are no facilities, but if you walk up on the beach to the right of the parking lot, you'll find a small sandy area for some beach chairs and shady spots from the trees. This tends to be a quieter spot on weekdays. It's a little rocky, but you'll find sandy spots to get in and some nice snorkeling right off the [...]

Monks Bath & Beach
0.0

Monk's Bath and Monk's Bath Beach are located on the west end of St Croix in Frederiksted just past Northside Valley. Exploring the shore down to Monk's Bath is a must-do for the more adventurous visitors to St Croix. Finding it is a treasure! There's a little pull-off across from a house along the narrow part of Emancipation Drive. You'll walk down a slope to what is now a nice little beach area with plenty of rocky spots for some snorkeling if you have a little more experience. Bonus, it's a little out of the way, so you'll likely have [...]

0.0

Rainbow Beach is a popular spot on St Croix's West End. You'll find a great spot for swimming, snorkeling, watersport rentals, chair/umbrella rentals, and a walk-up beach bar. There's a parking lot located right across the street from Rhythms at Rainbow Beach and roadside parking. This beach gets busy on cruise ship days, holidays, and weekends.

Sandy Point National Wildlife Refuge
5.0

Sandy Point is known for soft white sand, great for swimming; good snorkeling if you swim out Sandy Point National Wildlife Refuge is one of the most beautiful and pristine beaches in the Caribbean. This protected wildlife refuge is only accessible from the first weekend in September through the last weekend in March and only on the weekends from 10 am until 4 pm during those months. Why? Sandy Point National Wildlife Refuge is listed as critical nesting habitat for the endangered Leatherback Sea Turtle.  Leatherbacks, hawksbill, and green sea turtles nest there undisturbed and in abundance during the summer months.  [...]

Sprat Hall Beach aka Cowboy Beach is a beautiful mile-long stretch of white sand along the west end shore in Frederiksted. You'll find spots to pull off and walk down to the beach. There are plenty of sandy spots to get into the water along with rocky spots to snorkel and look for tropical fish and marine life. You may also catch a glimpse of our friends at Cruzan Cowgirls swimming their horses with one of their tour groups. Return to St Croix Beaches Guide
