A popular beach for locals and tourists alike and also one of the best shore dive locations in the Caribbean. Snorkeling is easy and pretty spectacular right off shore. Cane Bay is a great location to spend the day with beach bars like eat@Cane Bay just across the street. You can rent or purchase snorkeling gear onsite from Cane Bay Dive Shop or grab sea kayaks from the folks at Virgin Kayak. The world-famous Cane Bay Wall is only 300 yards off-shore where it drops to over 1400 feet.
Cruising to Frederiksted, would like to snorkel off of a beach relatively close to that area (within 15 minute drive). Hoping to find a beach that offers chair and umbrella rentals with food/drink within walking distance.
‘Hope this reply is not too late for MiMi, Rainbow Beach, just North of the Pier is very good with a good restaurant/bar, a beach with chair & umbrella rentals and snorkeling gear as well. With said gear, definitely explore around the pier itself. No where else quite like it!!
